Superintendent of Schools

November 22, 2018

Dear East Meadow School Community:

I want to wish all of you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you are able to spend some time with family and friends, and enjoy all that you are thankful for.

Every day, our teachers, support staff, volunteers and administrators come to school prepared to provide the best possible experience for our students. Not only do we work together to help students learn, but we also provide a safe, nurturing place for them. I am extremely thankful and grateful for all that our staff does every day for the students and families in our district. It is because of them and all their hard work that our students and families are able to be as successful as they are.

I am thankful for our students, parents, and community members who inspire me and make me proud each day. Each year, our students volunteer to help organizations such as the East Meadow Kiwanis, deliver food baskets to families throughout our community. They participate in the annual Thanksgiving Day dinner for our senior citizens and military families. They give back so much to our community, and I am thankful for their service and dedication.

Our Board of Education truly cares about our students and their families. They support our staff and students. They are compassionate leaders who value public education. I feel honored to work with them, and I am thankful and grateful for their service.

I am thankful to be a part of the East Meadow School District and community.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kenneth A. Card, Jr.
